Hi,

I'm trying to use a 3rd party javascript library (math.js) with Eclipse BIRT (JUNO). I was able to get some of math.js to compile (and use it), but only after very invasive code changes.

The main issue I'm seeing is errors compiling object literals, eg, the following
code:

person={firstname:"John",lastname:"Doe",age:50,eyecolor:"blue"};

results in:

Java class "java.lang.Object" has no public instance field or method named "firstname".

Searching in the archives of the mozilla-rhino forums group, I see ample discussion of object literals. I'd appreciate any guidance in understanding the problem.

Thanks,

Matt

What version are you using? I was able to declare person from the designer, I didn't try an external js though, without any problems in 4.2.2. Can you post math.js or link me to the library and I can see if I can recreate the error?
