Letting users drill Data Cube data [message #1062230] Thu, 06 June 2013 11:38 Go to next message

Hello,

is it possible to let users drill Data Cube Grids?

For instance, let us say that I have created a Data Cube containing the following dimensions:

- year
- month
- week of month

and that I have added a Cross Tab displaying those data, to my report.

As a report developer, I can show/hide Group Levels simply by right-clicking the button next to one of the data elements. However, that button is not available to report users.

Must I duplicate the report as many times as there are levels, on other pages, to let users see the corresponding data, or is there a way to let them drill through levels?

Many thanks.

Philippe

You could use script to modify the crosstab or build it from scratch. Another way might be to create a few crosstabs and hide/show the appropriate one based on a parameter or even do this all on client side based on the user clicking on buttons.
