Problem with SWT Browser in 3.8 [message #1059944]

I have a problem with the SWT Browser widget when running on 3.8 (everything is fine on 3.7): during initialization execution stops in IDispatch.GetTypeInfo() and doesn't resume. We are running on XP.

The only problem in this area in the last few years was
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=354640 , which resolved to
be a MS bug that has been fixed in the meantime.

Your description is a bit unclear, is it crashing for you? Or is the
call to IDispatch.GetTypeInfo() hanging? If taking all available IE
updates from MS and upgrading your Eclipse to a build from
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.3RC3-201305301430/
does not fix your case then please log a report with SWT at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform&component=SWT
with more details.
