index.php/fa/14543/0/i am very new to eclipse and my problem is that when i open it i do not get the option of java in the window tab--open perspective.... its just not there... what to do ??can ne1 help me plz.

Ganymede is very old. You may wish to try a much later version.

The "option" you're talking about is the Java perspective? You must
download a Java-specific Eclipse package if you want to assume certain
default behaviors.
