I am trying to create my environment so that I can find out about Java Apps
and Mysql.

I have found some articles which tell me I can access MySQL db's and tables
in Java and the Eclipse environment can allow me to write Java apps to do
so.

Each article presumes that I know about other elements in the article. Which
I don't.

I know I need to download Connector/J. Then it seems to be magically part of
the system. This presumes I know what to do with the download!! (no funny
answers please)

Do I "embed" it into Eclipse? If so how do I tell Eclipse where and what to
use. I have a file "mysql-connector-java-3.1.12.tar". Is it unzipped into a
particular folder?

All help greatfully received.
