Hi,
I am very new to Eclipse but have now looked at a lot of the documentation
(also Redbooks) and the newsgroups. I still haven't figured out if it would
be wise to use EMF, GEF or both for the following:
The goal is to create a fairly simple CASE-tool for drawing UML-like class
diagrams and Live Sequence Charts and then translate them to a formal
specification language (maybe vice versa). The translation may be done
externally after an XML-export of some kind.
How can i best accomplish this? I know this is fairly general, but any
guidance will be appreciated!
Regards
Steffen

Steffen,
I think EMF and GEF would be very good to use for this. What you are
describing is not so different from what Omondo is doing with EMF and
GEF. I'm not sure what sort of guidance to offer. Maybe you should
dive in and then ask more specific questions...
