I could experiment with this, but I thought I'd ask in case someone knows.

A colleague has given a funny name to a shared project, stored in a Git
repository, and it's brought into Eclipse via File -> Import -> Import
Existing Projects, etc.

As .gitignore is under Git's control too, I can't use that to avoid
committing a changed .project file.

Is there a way to rename this project in the workbench without affecting
what's in .project?

Thanks
