jboss-4.0.2 vs wtp [message #147656] Thu, 17 November 2005 22:45 Go to next message

hi, i found that i cant integrate jboss-4.0.2 with eclipse, when i go to
windows> preferences> server> installed runtimes,the wizard display only
have generic jboss-3.0.2. Is it any way to make the jboss-4.02 also
displayed in the list? thanx all.

& add this site

Hi Moonny.

You can try to download server definitions I wrote for WTP RC a while
ago. Look at
http://www.mrvelj.net/download/JBoss402EclipseWTP.zip

Unzip it to your eclipse installation and restart eclipse with "-clean"
option. Afer that you should be able to see JBoss 4.0.2 in your server list.

Please note that I wrote this as a workaround to get JBoss running from
eclipse. There are probably better solutions around.

Hi Moonny,
do one thing go on this site "http://www.projst.com/eclipse/updates/"
through browser u will get "com.projst.jst_1.0.2" download it (U will get
an jar file)
put this jar file into u r "<Eclipse Home>/plugins/" folder & then restart
the Eclipse U will get the defination for JBoss 4.x server.

If U r having different installation directorys for JBoss 4.0.2 & JBoss
3.0.2 then It will never create any problem, I am currently using it & it
working fine for me,

Just Try it out!

Hi Moony,

just for clarification: you started Eclipse with "eclipse.exe -clean" ?

If it does not work: check the errorlog in your workspace (in ".metadata"
folder, don't know the exact filename currently). If there are problems loading
the plugin it should tell you.

Hope I could help

Wolfgang

OK, your update manager is not launching properly, do this
"window > Preferences > Install/Update " & check Enable HTTP proxy
connection & give there HTTP host address & HTTP host port & apply it.
After that run your update manager

Hope it will help you!
