Eclipse XSD currently uses Xerces 2.0.0 (which is Xerces 4.0.7 in Ecplise'
version numbering).
I'd like to use a newer xerces very, but even if I only step up to Xerces
2.0.2, I get MethodNotFound exceptions for Xerces' DurationDV class
(during simple type validation)
Is there a chance that eclipse supports a newer xerces version any time
soon?

Michael,
I don't have much say or control over when Eclipse itself moves to new
versions of Xerces. Perhaps it's best to ask on the main Eclipse forum and
see what their plans are...
