Hello,

In a Java application what is the best way to determine if a database is up and running before interrogating it? The project I have currently uses JNDI's in the Tomcat Context file.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Regards

AJF

You should realize that this isn't a question about Eclipse and you
likely will not get an answer. For this I would suggest either the
Tomcat forum in javaranch.com or stackoverflow.com.
