Hello there, I've seen that this is a somewhat common problem through the magic of google but I have been unable to fix it according to what other people have suggested.

using namespace std;
int main() {
cout << "dafuq" << endl; // prints
return 0;
}
Is the code, with errors with using namespace std, and as a result error with cout.
For some reason this only occurs when I create a new C++ project -> Empty Project -> Cross GCC. If I create a new C++ project -> Hello World C++ Project I get no problems with using namespace std. I have tried googling for this specific difference but the results were too muddled with other Hello World instances.
I do have g++ installed as I have run sudo apt-get install g++ and all it did was tell me it's installed.
From a different thread http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/288339/ they mentioned to show the output in a dedicated console. Below I have pasted what it prints. Hopefully there is some information there as to why this problem is occuring.
