Hello everyone, this is my first post here.

I downloaded the latest version of EPF and on running it, found that the SVN Repository is missing.

As a workaround (which seems to be working so far), I moved all the plugin files which contained "subversion" in their name from EPF 1.5.1.4 Plugins folder to the EPF 1.5.1.5 Plugins folder.

So far, so good.

Are their any issues that anyone foresees doing things this way? Has anyone encountered any issues so far?

The files copied over were are attached in the image

Hi Jitendra.

I'm trying to install SVN on my 1.5.1.5 EPF too. As far as I could understand you got the plugin from 1.5.1.4 and installed it over 1.5.1.5.
After I read your thread I tried to do the same but when I downloaded the 1.5.1.4 to get the files you listed on the image, there were none. Also there was no option on the menu to install plugins. Are you sure you got them from 1.5.1.4? If so, how did you manage to install them there in the first place?

I've investigated the files and found out 1.5.1.5 is based on Helios. My next step will be to download Helios, install SVN there and then copy the files to EPF.

Another workaround would be to try to do the opposite. Install EPF over the Helios Platform.

Could you please recheck the version of the EPF from which you got those files? If it's really 1.5.4.1 can you tell me how did you install SVN on it?

Thank you very much.

It turns out that the 1.5.1.4 version that I had installed earlier (had taken the setup rom someone else), already had the SVN plugin files in it. So the setup you downloaded from IBM would not contain them.

I will post a step by step guide later tonight so you can install them. Watch this space.

So here's what I did;

1. Download the desired version of the SVN plugin ( I used 1.8.9 from http://subclipse.tigris.org/files/documents/906/49211/site-1.8.9.zip). You can get the desired version from - http://subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=2240&expandFolder=2240&folderID=5146. Unzip this into a folder (eg: SVN).

2. EPF sort of has a bug where in you cannot install the plugins through a menu. To fix this, you will need to create a keyboard shortcut. Go to Window->Preferences.

3. From the Preferences window, open General and select "Keys" from the sub-menu

4. On the right, look for "Find and Install updates" under "Commmand" column. Select it with a single click.

5. Left click on the field in front of "Binding". Assign a shortcut that you wish (just hit those keys and they will be detected). I selected Ctrl+Shift+A.

6. Click Apply, and then OK.

7. Hit CTRL+SHIFT+A in EPF. A new window for "Install/Update" would appear. Select "Search for new features to install". Click Next.

8. Click on "New Local Site" button on the right. In the "Browse for folder", locate the SVN folder (the unzipped downloaded file) and click OK.

9. Click Finish when back on the "Install" dialog box.

10. A new "Updates" dialog would now appear, you can open the tree and select the Plugins you'd like to install. Click "Next", accept the "Terms and Conditions" and from the next menu, hit "Finish".

11. Restart EPF and the plugins would now be installed.

Once installed, the SVN plugin files can be be inside the folder that contains epf.exe. This means, the downloaded zip file and the unzipped folder SVN are no longer required for SVN to correctly run in EPF.

Hope this helps.

It worked like a charm. I did that directly on EPF 1.5.1.5. Thank you very much.
