I have a partSash container directly inside the "Controls" tag of my e4 Application.

Is it possible to add margins to the "Controls" or an invisible border to the Sash?

I don't think you can by default. You'll have to override the renderer (SashRenderer), which shouldn't be much of a pain in this case.
