Sorry for asking a "dumb" question but it seems that there are references in
various places implying that v1.0Mx is available for download/use even
though
it is not available as a production release? I was looking at the
screencast:

( http://www.eclipse.org/org/june05release/screencasts/5-webTo olsInstallation
/webToolsInstallation.html)

and it shows: wtp-sdk-1.0M4.zip so I was walking through this screencast and
all
I see from my persective is 0.7 release. There does not seem to be any
information
regarding v1.0 releases at least as far as I could see on the main page for
WTP. Perhaps
you can point me in the right direction or at least clear the confusion for
me?

Thanks!
Dan

No, its not a dumb question..

At one point they changed version numbes from 1.0 back to 0.x

In fact that is the reason why you have problems on downloading some 3rd party plugins such as JBossIDe because they incldued old-wtp1.0 and not the correct wtp0.7..

Yes confusing as hell..

WTP1.0 final sisscheduled for late fall release?

So is the 1.0M8 from the downloads page actually older code than the 0.7
build?

No. WTP 0.7 was released in July. WTP 1.0 will be released in Dec. To try
and avoid further confusion in the milestone names (because the 0.7
milestones were actually 1.0M1 -M5) the milestones moving forward to 1.0
are M8 and M9. M8 was announced last Friday. M9 is scheduled for Nov.
