Hello,

in the development of the timesquare tool (http://timesquare.inria.fr), we have an integration with the papyrus MARTE profile so that our update site depends on the MARTE feature from papyrus.

When MARTE is already installed in the eclipse on which you want to install TimeSquare, a version conflict occurs... The problem seems to come from the fact that the version in the update site is postfixed with the build date so that it is impossible for us to require a stable version.

Do you think it is possible to differentiate the nightly build of MARTE from a release ? For now we are using this update site : http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/updates/releases/maintenance/juno

is there another one which is used for stable version (SR1 version or something ?)

regards

julien

Hello Julien,

This update site contains the latest maintenance build of Papyrus. It is updated with the following contents:

- Official Eclipse releases (e.g. 0.9.0 for Juno)
- Official Eclipse service releases (e.g. 0.9.1 for Juno SR1)
- Official Papyrus service releases (e.g. 0.9.1a, based on Juno SR1)

This is not a nightly build.

We had four Papyrus releases outside of the official release train (Two for 0.9.0, and two for 0.9.1). The last one occurred on last friday (10/19).

You may want to use the following update site instead:

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/updates/releases/juno

Which only contains the Eclipse Release Train contents (e.g. 0.9.0 and 0.9.1, for Juno / Juno SR1). It won't change until Juno SR2 (2013/02/13 -> 2013/02/22).

Regards,
Camille

great !

thank you very much, I'll use the eclipse release train update site.

by the way, is there a place where all the available update sites are described or mentioned ? (it could be useful for integration for instance)

regards,
j

Hello,

No, not *all* of our update sites are described. This page only lists the recommended update sites:

http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/updates/index.php

i.e. the maintenance builds and the nightly builds. But we also have update sites for e.g. milestones, official Eclipse releases, and a few specific ones.

Regards,
Camille
