I recently converted our product build to enable P2. The product only has
one top level feature which includes other sub-features. In the top level
feature I have defined the update site and discovery site URLs. The update
site URL showed up well in previous build without P2. However after
enabling P2 the site URL does not show up in the "Preferences ->
Install/Update -> Available Update Sites". In fact the panel is empty.

Do I need to do anything in the build to enable the update site URL?

I have the same problem on 3.5RC4. I would like the update site URLs for
my main feature to be visible and enabled, but the sites of other features
to not be displayed or enabled.

I think you can do this with touchpoint instructions. I haven't tried it
myself but looks promising.

See addRepository, removeRepository.

After posting this I just noticed the thread on the e.p.pde newsgroup
which provides an example. Andy you might check that one out too.

The thread title starts with "Building in Software Sites"

I got this working fine with p2.inf and AddRepository, but it only works
for XP. On Vista, sites are still missing. I've posted results to this
conference and a related matter on PDE.
