Hi,
For a big company, i'm in charge of developping a model collaborative
system.
The idea is to propose synchronization points between the user's EMF model
and the centralized team model.

After a short study, i have some questions about EMF Compare (a potential
choice for the implementation of the collaborative system).

Concerning the file extensions for launching the good engines:
- Is it possinle to specify 2 types of extension, for instance:
library_user and .library_team instead of .library which compares 2
library files ?

Concerning the Match component:
- Why does exist the UnmatchElement concept ? Shall every element which is
missing in the match model be considered as unmatched element ?
- What is a RemoteUnMatchElement? Does Remote mean the destination model ?

Concerning the Diff component:
- What is the ModelInputSnapshot concept ?
- What are the use cases for ConflictingDiffElement (3-way i guess) but
more precisely?
- What is a DiffGroup?
- What does DiffExtension brings comparing of the complete redefinition of
DiffEngine which inherits of DiffEngine provided by default?
- I have tested the DiffExtension, only the visitor with the MatchModel is
called, what are the use cases of the AbstractDiffExtension class ?
- We need semantic Diffs overrifing the technical diffs, shall we
reimplement a new DiffEngine or a new extension?
For instance UML sequence diagrams merging is not technical but semantic.

Thanks for your contribution.
Olivier
