IWAB0398E Error in WTP .07 G.S. [message #130342] Fri, 05 August 2005 19:38 Go to next message

I downloaded WTP .07, using the 'wtp-all-in-one-0.7.zip'. (The embedded
files appear to have been built july 29 2005 so this is pretty current).
I am attempting to generate a web service using the "bottom-up" tutorial
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/jst/components/ws/M5/tutoria ls/BottomUpWebService.html.
I get a "IWAB0398E Error in generating WSDL from Java
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: wtp.Converter " . I attached the screen
shot (just for dramatic effect
if for no other reason).
I assume it is really griping about some referenced class instead
of the target 'wtp.Converter' class but I've no idea what . I've noticed
similiar problems in the newsgroups. I've read all I could find but none
seem to apply. Is there an option or
something I can set to get a stack or something to provide more info by the
way? Nothing in the error log. I noticed some of those others include stack
traces.
Anyway, thanks for any thots..

Hi Dan,
when I saw the screenshot, I wondered if the workspace was created from
a previous version of WTP. The structure has changed, so older
workspaces may no longer work with 0.7.

If this isn't the case, you could open a bugzilla and describe your
scenario.

Thanks!

Yes.. a new workspace cured it..sorry about the excessive size of the
original post. Altho' it helped solve this quickly, I see an attachment
takes up too much space for a newsgroup.
-thanks

Hi: I'm new to Eclipse and to Java; I'm trying to create a web service for an API implementation that I need to create but I keep getting this error when I try to create a new web service project:
IWAB0398E Error in generating WSDL from Java java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: primavera.webservice.EPSSpreadsServices

What am I'm supposed to do before creating the webservice project?

I believe you have found the following bug. I have also hit this bug and
haven't found any way around it. If a fix for this is important to you,
cast a vote for this bug.
