Hi ,

I am using jre1.5.0_09 and Eclipse Europa (TPTP 4.4.1).
When I am profiling the JUnit test stubs of my application it runs 12-14
cases and after that I got the following error :-

#
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x03c46ed9, pid=2332,
tid=2672
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_09-b01 mixed mode)
# Problematic frame:
# C [JIE.dll+0x26ed9]
#
# An error report file with more information is saved as hs_err_pid2332.log
#
# If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit:
#

The total number of JUnit test stubs will be around 250. I have 512 MB RAM
on my PC and running on Windows 2000.

I have also observed that If I try to run ony 10 to 15 JUnit test stubs
they run perfectly without the above JVM error.

If there is any memory related requitement while Profing with TPTP i.e RAM
, OS etc.

If any body have encountered the same problem then Plz share his
experience with me.

Thanks

There were numerous bugs related to such crashes that were resolved for
version 4.5.

Can you please try to reproduce this crash with the latest 4.5
development build?

Thanks,
Asaf

Hi Yasaf,

Is TPTP 4.5 has been released..?
if yes from where i can get its download ?

Also when I am trying to attach profiler to an application which is
running on some other machine i get the following error :-

IWAT0284E The agent controller is not available on host mesopatomian.
Make sure that:
* the agent controller is installed.
* the agent controller is configured to communicate with your machine.
* you have the correct host name and port number for the agent controller.
org.eclipse.hyades.internal.execution.local.control.AgentCon trollerUnavailableException

how I can profile a remote application ?

Regards,
Himanshu Singh

Not yet. It will be released with Eclipse 3.4. The latest milestone
builds of the profiler are very stable, and I suggest you will give it a
try.

Thanks,
Asaf
