No profiling for Eclipse plugin - stand alone app works fine [message #128606] Fri, 18 April 2008 15:04

Hello

Platform: Win32. Eclipse 3.3.2. JDK 5

Agent Controller: I could not get the IAC to run so I installed the stand
alone Agent Controller.

I am fairly new to the TPTP business but I got everything running fine for a
stand alone Java application. But when I try to start profiling another
Eclipse workbench for analyzing my Eclipse plugin the launching process does
not even start another JVM but waits for about 1 minute and then displays:
"The JVMTI agent org.eclipse.tptp.jvmti is not available. Make sure that
agent's libraries are available and that it is configured properly. Reason:
<blank>".

This happens during the same Eclipse session and I can successfully do
profiling the stand alone application before and after trying with the
plugin. So the Agent Controller seems to work fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Thomas
