Hi all,
we're happy to announce the second milestone for RAP 2.0. It's already
available on our download site [1] and will be included in the Kepler
repository later today.
During the last weeks we've been busy lifting the client-to-server
communication to the JSON protocol. That was a lot of work, and we
finished it just in time. With this milestone, the migration to the new
protocol is complete. All communication uses JSON now, no undocumented
HTTP parameters are involved anymore. For a complete list of changes and
bug fixes, see the new and noteworthy [2].
If you're migrating from RAP 1.x, please also check out our RAP 2.0
migration guide [3].
The next milestone will bring some new features again. We're also
started to rework the event system in RWT to get rid of some nasty bugs
related to events and listeners. M3 will be available on Nov 16.
Cheers,
the RAP team
