I double-clicked the Help, About text to edit it. The box turned all
black. Now I can no longer open my VE file in the editor. I get a pop-up

Reason:

How do I recover from this??

Try one thing first. Let's clear the cache.
1) Bring up the VE, even though it fails. Then close the VE.
2) Do Porject->Clean...->Clean all... Wait for build to finish
3) Open the VE again.
If that doesn't work, then please attach the .log file.
Also what versions of Eclipse, VE, GEF, and EMF you are using?
