Hi folks,

I try to implement a live line chart viewer eclipse plugin which will
receive data from HTTP get, and update the line chart, live stock price
chart. I am not sure which chart engin, birt chart engine, or tptp
charting service, will be easy to implement.

I perfer TPTP charting service since it support XML, XML DOM as input
formate, however, I found the following available documnetation is based
on TPTP4.0
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/platform/documents/design/Charti ngService/ref/rprogguide.html
some API has depreciated in current TPTP4.4.1

thanks in advance for your response.

Meiji,

I believe the TPTP project uses the BIRT chart engine. They may have
made changes to support xml data source. If you checkout the chart
projects from cvs you will see an example of a live chart previewer. I
believe there is one for SWT and SWING.
