I would like to include JRE in our RCP-based, headlessly built product. I
plan to include the JRE as a root file of a dedicated JRE feature. That
should locate the JRE files in eclipse/JRE. But what happens when we
upgrade this feature via Software Updates to a newer version of the JRE?
Doesn't Software Updates itself use the JRE, and so could lock files or
otherwise conflict with a JRE update?

Thanks,
msacarny

Yes, I think you'll need to run the update from another JRE. I.e., use
the director application to perform the update in a separate process,
with a separate JRE.
