Hi,
the FilteredItemsSelectionDialog does not work as it throws an
IllegalStateException:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: No context available outside of the request
service lifecycle.

org.eclipse.rwt.internal.service.ContextProvider.getContext( ContextProvider.java:108)
at
org.eclipse.rwt.internal.service.ContextProvider.getSession( ContextProvider.java:146)

at
org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchMessages.get(WorkbenchMessa ges.java:1067)

org.eclipse.ui.dialogs.FilteredItemsSelectionDialog$FilterJo b.filterContent(FilteredItemsSelectionDialog.java:2173)

org.eclipse.ui.dialogs.FilteredItemsSelectionDialog$FilterJo b.internalRun(FilteredItemsSelectionDialog.java:2121)

org.eclipse.ui.dialogs.FilteredItemsSelectionDialog$FilterJo b.doRun(FilteredItemsSelectionDialog.java:2093)
at
org.eclipse.ui.dialogs.FilteredItemsSelectionDialog$FilterJo b.run(FilteredItemsSelectionDialog.java:2080)
at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:55)

I do the following in an editor action:
FilteredItemsSelectionDialog dlg = new
MyFilteredItemsSelectionDialog(display.getActiveShell(), true);
dlg.setTitle("Mein Titel");
dlg.setInitialPattern("?");
dlg.open();

Is this a bug?

Regards,
Markus

Markus,

you found a bug. Would you open a bugzilla?

TIA
Rüdiger

Markus,

thanks for the bug entry. I am afraid but with EclipseCon ahead I
doubt that we will be able to fix this soon.

Cheers,
Rüdiger
