I created a dsl using xtext with nel extension, and then I create two projects, each project has a nel file. Let's say project2 depends on project1, and nel file in project2 will reference something defined in nel file in project1.

If I open project1 in my workspace, everything is fine. However, if I create a jar for project1, close project1, put that jar on the build path of project2. My xtext editor will complain that reference cannot be resolved.

Please advise.

In the Build-Path-window there is a Tab Oder And Export.
Try moving the jar upwards.
That helped me in a similar instance.
