Hi,

What functionnalities does GMF/EMF offer to use a model as library for a new model.

Example : My domain is a sort of UML model. I want to create a model A (a library) with common classes. I want to create a new model B that references elements of A but do not edit them.

I understand that model B needs to store references to objects of A in a special way such as IDs. Does EMF provide facilities for that ?

Does GMF provide facilities to display objects of A in the palette when editing B that depends of A ? If not, what are available solutions ? I dont't want a copy of A in B as A may evolve, I prefer to manage broken references.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Regards,
Mickaël
