Can anyone tell me how to draw my own guide lines after user clicks in a palette tool.

I wanted to draw a line at the position, where some object is gonna be placed, because I've some layout constraints, and the mouse position is not likely to be the right position of placement.

For example, in this scenario:
¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
FA
FB

C
_____x__

I'm dragging an object (FK) into position x, however I want that all F* stays together. This means that FK must be placed bellow FB. In this case I'd like to draw a line bellow FB for user to know that it's there it will be placed.
