Hi,

What are the future plans for the deploymentadmin service. I have seen
that the project exists in the cvs but the last update was 15 month ago.
Are there any plans to integrate this into the equinox platform?

Hi Michael,

The DeploymentAdmin implementation work was started as one of out
investigations of provisioning technology but the short answer is that we
now believe p2 is a better way forward here. It is still a very interesting
and relatively well spec'ed service so of course anyone is free to pick up
what's there and bring it back to life however I am not intending on working
on it at least in this release.

Thanks for the quick answer.

We are currently evaluating what would be the best way to deploy our
application and so i found this service in the osgi specs.

I was a little bit surprises that i found out that there is currently no
way to take a feature definition and deploy it into the equinox platform.
Only install / update commands per single bundle is supported.
