I've recently installed the Eclipse SDK 4.2 "Juno" and along with that I've also installed Egit 2.0.

I see in the right click context menu a GitHub option with two sub-options, Create Private Gist, and Create Public Gist. However those two sub-options are greyed out and they don't respond to me clicking on them. Is there some configuration and/or plugin I'm missing to enable them properly?

I've done some Google searching and reading through some of the documentation related to Egit, but I've yet to understand what I need to do so far. Any helpful pointers would be much appreciated.

You need to have a Gist repository setup in the Mylyn Task Repositories view.

Once you add it there the menu items should be enabled.
