Debug halts when Initializing debugger services at 62% [message #884576]

Hi.
I am new to this forum and I hope this is the right place for my problem .

I am using Indigo release on Windows XP 64bit computer with Cygwin GCC toolchain.
The simple "Hello World in C++, Ansi-style" is built fine but when I try to put a breakpoint and debug it the Progress view holds forever at:

"Launching: Initializing debugger services"

always at 62%.

Any help is more than welcome.
