What do you mean by "code finishing tool"? What is "Eclipse PHP
studio"? Where are you looking that these things aren't available or
not presenting a way to add a new one?

I have the same problem: Everything OK with Elios, while Eclipse 3.0.2 64 bit on Ubuntu 10.04 has no code completion and I don't find a way to enable it.
It is also disappeared the menu Validators on Preferences.
It even don't do code completion for a class in the same file I istantiate it.
I downloaded from here:
www.zend.com/en/community/pdt/downloads
(logo Zend on the splash screen).
I downloaded the former version, Helios, from the PDT site (doin the same identical job: dowload of the all-in-one version).
Maybe there is something to add to have validation? Something no more included in the all-in-one?
Kind regards
Rik

Thank you for the help and reply. I finally discovered how to add these features.
For anyone who stumbles upon this, I hope this additional information can help:
Eclipse PDT (aka Zend PHP Studio) used to be in the downloads page (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/), but i believe has since been removed.
The free version can be downloaded from http://www.eclipse.org/pdt/downloads/. This is primarily a pay software using the Eclipse platform.
If you want to use the free version with templates and snippets, download the Eclipse EE java version, then install PHP features as plugins. This should give you the free features of PHP studio, as well as, the advanced Eclipse features. However, if you plan on using the pay PDT version, it is recommended you use the download Zend Studio at Zend.
PS, if you want a great PHP IDE plugin, Aptana is also a great, free option.
