Hi all,
I have red the wiki page
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2/Publisher#Category_Publisher a dozen
of times, but I'm still unsure about how to really use/test the
CategoryPublisher.
My goal is to make some tests on it, in order to better understand how
Tycho works for artifact resolution for eclipse-repository packaging
type. It relies on CategoryPublisher.
Then, I'd like to get more comfortable with it, but I still don't
understand what is the expected input (except the category.xml file). As
far as I understand, CategoryPublisher takes a category.xml + input p2
repo to create new metadata from it. Am I right? If yes, how to specify
which repo it should use to resolve artifacts? I could not understand
how this application resolves artifacts.
Any help is welcome. More specifically, a *concrete example* of how to
publish a repo using this application is welcome, since the
documentation is really generic IMHO.
