Hi,

I am studying Equinox P2 (the provisioning implementation), which is said to
be better than the standalone update manager.

However, I am having difficulties using P2 to install plain OSGI features
and plugins. All documents and articles seem to indicate P2 is for
Eclipse-Based application, RCP applications for example.

So have anybody had success with P2 to install plain OSGI features and
plugins?

Thank you,

Shawn

I found out the answer for my question. P2 does support installing plain
OSGI features and plugins. So far, I found using the dropins directory is
working. One drawback, though. It requries at least one start-up of
Eclipse.
