No Overview Pane for WebSphere 6.0.2 IBM SDK 1.4.2 generated Heap Dump [message #10458]

I am looking for feedback on this before I open a bug.

When I open a WebSphere 6.0.2.33/IBM SDK 1.4.2 generated Heap Dump (.phd)
it opens in Eclipse Memory Analyzer as it's native binary format and I do
not get the Overview Window and the options it comes with (i.e.,
histogram, Dominator Tree, etc).

I have already installed the IBM DTFJ adapter for Eclipse Memory Analyzer
Tool

WebSphere Application Server Details:
IBM WebSphere Application Server -ND, 6.0.2.33

I've already replied to Andrew when he asked this question using another
channel, but here's my reply to help anyone else who has the same problem:

It sounds like you have not got the IBM DTFJ Adapter + DTFJ properly
installed and have opened the dump using 'File' 'Open File'.

If you go to 'File' 'Open Heap Dump' then in the 'Files of Type' drop-down
list you should see one of the options is:

IBM Portable Heap Dump

Please retry installing the DTFJ adapter and DTFJ from
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/tools/mat.html
