ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This Senior Software Engineer will collaborate in the design, development
and deployment of an Eclipse plug-in based Game Development IDE that will
manage all aspects of creating specialized massively multi-player
simulations. This includes automated processing of 2D and 3D geographic
data, distributed content management systems, artificial intelligence for
ground, marine and flight simulations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
* BS/MS Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
* At least 5 years in 3D simulation or game software development
* Excellent writing skills
Application Integration
* XML, SAX, WHSDL, HTTP, Web Services
* Scripting: (Lua, Scheme/LISP, JavaScript, Python, Unix shell)
* API Design, Development & Validation
* TCP/IP communication protocols
* Linux and Windows development, system admin and use
* Eclipse OSGI plugins
Software Engineering
* System Architecture
* UML, Rational
* Multi-platform GUI design and development
* 5+ years experience in C++ and Java
* SWT, JNI, OpenSceneGraph, Direct X and OpenGL Standards
* LiveCD, Knoppix
* Relational Database Experience, SQL, ODBC, ADO, Hibernation
Application Software
* Eclipse IDE, Visual Studio IDE, Ant, GNU
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
* Photoshop
* 3ds Max/Maya
* MultiGen Creator, Sketchup, CAD
* GIS, building editor, CAD and architectural software
Experience
* Military simulations, console and MMO Gaming
* Organizations, equipment, jargon, acronyms and standards
* Simulation and training systems and companies
