We are about to go to Beta for our set of plugins that provide a
development environment for the Curl platform (www.curl.com) and
interested in a Japanese Eclipse. Curl is owned by Japan's Sumisho
company therefore our interest in having a Japanese version asap.

The language pack in the Eclipse official download page is only 3.2. So,
you can image my delight when I found the Babel project! I used the
update manager to get your current fragment.

Questions:
1) How complete is your (Babel) current Japanese translation files? I
opened some of the doc-user Japanese jar files and they looked fairly
empty.
2) I did not see any information as to what version of Eclipse they apply
to. I assume that the 3.3 user or the 3.4 user would want different set
of fragments. I saw a note in this newsgroup to this regard (3.3 vs 3.4).
But regardless of which one you translate, it seems to me that you need
to say which one the fragment is for. Am I missing something?

Best regards

Hi Farokh,

I'm working on some better statistics for Babel projects. Stay tuned.

Currently, we are building language packs based on the latest version of
the projects, so in this case, 3.4. We will build language packs for
3.3.1 eventually, but the 3.4 language packs should work on 3.3.1 (to
the extent that they can work).

Do feel free to help with the translation effort by logging into
http://babel.eclipse.org

Thanks,

Denis
