MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead the design and development activities in the team
-Work with customers to determine requirements and architect new plug-ins
-Present and communicate the design to customers
-Develop Eclipse plug-ins other critical software deliverables
-Manage and perform all software production and maintenance tasks as
required
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-A Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
discipline
-Minimum of two (2) years developing Eclipse plug-ins (RCP, SWT, EMF, GEF)
-Minimum of three (3) years using Eclipse
-Minimum of eight (8) years experience is required as a Software Developer
engaged in significant software development projects developing software
tools
-Proven ability to multi-task, learn independently and to become rapidly
effective in working with existing complex systems
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Proven ability to carry technical vision and provide technical leadership
-Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
-An understanding of negotiation and mediation practices
-A strong sense of process, detail and follow-through
-A strong set of problem solving and analytical skills
-Ability to multi-task across problem domains and various contexts
-Ability to work independently and mentor other engineers in the group
-Resourceful and creative in the face of challenges
-Strong sense of urgency and dedication to customer satisfaction
