Can't get Profiler to start with WTP project [message #102840] Tue, 03 July 2007 20:06 Go to next message

When I try to start a server instance for my Dynamic Web project, it fails
to start. This is what I get on the console:

[Call Graph profiler invalid option: execdetails=true ]
[Error: Call Graph profiler: Options parsing failed]
[Error: EC JPIAgent received message (FATAL ERROR): Internal error (see
log file).]

This is what the log says:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.wst.server.core 4 0 2007-07-03 13:04:15.618
!MESSAGE Server Tomcat v6.0 JSB failed to start.

Starting the Tomcat 6 server works fine when started in Run or Debug mode.

I am using the new Europa 3.3 install. I tried overlaying the TPTP 4.4
download, but the symptoms are the same.

I also tried starting Eclipse with a -clean to see if that would help. It
didn't.

Rick,

This looks like a bug. I have opened Bugzilla
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=195367 for this. Feel free
to add yourself to the CC list to keep track of our progress.

As a workaround, try to launch the CPU Profiler without "execution flow
graphical details" (double-click the Execution Time Analysis collector
to modify its settings).

HTH,
Asaf

A binary patch is now available as an attachment to the bug.
