Global variables disabled (debug) [message #818660] Sun, 11 March 2012 20:46 Go to next message

I am using a fully updated Eclipse on Fedora 16.

Version: 3.7.1
Build id: R3_7_1

CDT Debugger Services Framework (DSF) Examples

Version: 2.1.0.201109151620
Build id: 201111292225

When debugging a C app I am not able to view global variables. The button is grayed out.

What am I missing.

Global variables are not shown in the Variables view.
Instead, you can add the ones you are interested in within the Expressions view.

Ah. I assumed that since it worked in an earlier version (Centos 5), and the same button was grayed out in this version, that I had something configured wrong.

I'll use the expressions panel until they de3cide what to do.

Old version where the button works is:

Version: 3.2.0
Build id: M20060921-0945 (CentOS release 5 (Final))

Thanks!
