Hello,

I have a strange problem with VE1.1RC2 and RC1 as well.

My config is:
Linux
Eclipse 3.1
EMF 2.1.0
GEF 3.1

When trying to use the VE it doesn't really open up (see attached image) and
the only info I get on the console is:

---snip---
Unhandled event loop exception
Reason:
org/eclipse/ve/internal/cde/palette/Root
---snap---

Using the same configuration and VE1.1M2 everything is working just fine.

Perhaps someone has an idea ;)

Thx,
Constantin

P.S. I did start eclipse with the -clean option...

Hi,

I found the problem and it is now running fine...

I just removed all VE plugins und features manually and reinstalled the 1.1
package and now it is working.
I don't know what was broken but at least it is working now ;)

Thx,
Constantin

Hi Constantin,
Post 1.1M2 bug 95482
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=95482 ) was used to make
changes to the palette model. It could be a related problem. Could it be
possible to recreate this on a brand new temporary workspace, so that
none of old palette model interferes. It could be that -clean is not
doing its job and we would like isolate what the problem is.
Regards,
Sri.
