Hello :)
I'm new to TPTP and am having trouble getting up and running with
profiling a Java application. I used Callisto to install TPTP. Here is
my configuration:
Intel x86, Ubuntu Linux 7
Eclipse 3.2.2 M20070212-1330
Several TPTP features, not sure which are relevant. They are the latest
available from the update site and Callisto (4.1.x - 4.3.x)
I follow the help guide to profile a java application, and I get this
upon launching:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local
directory: piAgent
I google around and determine that the piAgent.so lib needs to be on my
path. I update my path and restart eclipse. Same result. I follow
some help text that suggests to set an environment variable that adds
the plugin that contains that library. Same result. I must be doing
something that's pretty obvious but I can't figure out.
Greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I fixed my problem. The main point of confusion for me was that "IA32"
means Intel x86. I did not know this and hence was not installing the
correct Agent Controller. Once I went through all the available target
platforms and determined the correct one for me, installed the agent
controller, installed the right libstdc, started the agent, restarted
eclipse, i was then able to profile a simple java application.
