UML2SD: Location of plug-ins? [message #93877] Wed, 21 March 2007 13:09 Go to next message

Hello folks,

I have a question regarding the UML2SD view in TPTP. I would like to extract
this part of TPTP as a stand-alone plug-in and extend it.

Q1: AFAIK the corresponding classes are part of the org.eclipse.hyades.ui
bundle and lie in the package org.eclipse.hyades.um2sd. Is this correct?

Q2: I've read in bugzilla (Bug-ID 134531) that the TPTP developers want to
decouple the bundles of TPTP to encourage adaptation of TPTP. Has this also
an impact on the UML2SD part? Will the UML2SD part be a stand-alone bundle
in the next release/CVS?

Thanks,
J

Posting Eugene's response on the mailing list:

Hi

Thanks first for your interested in TPTP.

A1: The UML2SD classes are now packaged in bundle
org.eclipse.tptp.platform.common.ui, under packages
org.eclipse.hyades.uml2sd.*. They were refactored since TPTP 4.3 and grouped
with other common UI elements of the platform.

A2: There is currently no plan to further decouple UML2SD into a standalone
bundle. However, the component is already separated within the bundle as
separate source folder.

Please let me know offline if you need more information.
