Hi all,
Currently I am doing my thesis on "Concurrent modeling support in Eclipse".
I am analysing Collaborative modeling tools such as CDO, CAMEL, SLIM etc...
I need to know, is there any another "Collaborative synchronous modeling tools" like CAMES or SLIM available?
Best Regards,
Uma Shankar

Hi again,
actually, CDO is only a mechanism to support distribution and
persistence of *models* in the EMF sense. If you are referring to
(graphical) *modeling* as I read between your lines, you should have a
look at Dawn (which is CDO extended to graphical modeling), which is a
part of CDO implemented by Martin Flügge. I guess he also was in touch
with the people from Obeo so you should have a look at their products as
well; I think they also support (or are going to support) collaborative
modeling...
Cheers,
Stefan

Well, there's not much of a difference between semantic models ("models in the EMF sense", as you call them) and
notation models (such as graphical diagram models), as long as they're based on Ecore.
The challenge with the GMF notation model is mostly that it *extends* Ecore rather than being just an *instance* of it.
And that makes it hard to regenerate the model for CDO native use. Obeo has started some efforts in this direction and I
guess that could be an interesting opportunity for more research work.
