I was curious if there are any plans to update the VE product page to
include additional pointers to Update Manager Site like the one found in the
Quick Nav section of the EMF product page
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php

For a release levels (e.g., VE 1.0.x), the update manager site will be available once you install VE, and we have opened
a defect on base eclipse to make it available on 3.1 so that you can add VE for the first time (they have had some
issues with mirroring for this defect).
For the dev. drivers, we do not use an update manager, as the naming conventions of 1.1.0_I2005... will collide with a
release version when it comes out that will not have the _2005... it will think that it is an older version :-(, and
also, we will need GEF to provide update mgr. facilities as well.
