Package fragment root is not a source folder [message #92035] Wed, 31 January 2007 17:11 Go to next message

Following tutorial "Accessing a datapool from a JUnit test" I follow all
steps up to "Setting up a TPTP test suite:4", which is to save the test
suite. In creating the test suite, no mention is made of assigning a package
name, and in fact in the screenshot included with the tutorial the "Package
Name" field on the "TPTP JUnit Test" page is shown as being blank. However,
attempting to save the test suite with this item blank results in the
message:

"A problem was found with the package name: A package name must not be
empty. The code for this test suite cannot be generated until you adjust the
package name."

If I put something in the field and attempt to save the test suite, I get
the "Code Update Preview" window, but when I click "Finish" I always get the
same message, regardless of what name I put in:

"The operation cannot be performed due to the following reason: Package
fragment root is not a source folder."

I'm an Eclipse/TPTP/JUnit/Java noob and am not sure how to construct a valid
package name... I'll work on that. But the fact that the tutorial has you
following invalid paths I think qualifies as a defect in the documentation.

FWIW.

Hi Daniel,

This has been fixed during 4.4 development timeframe.
Please download the last stable build driver TPTP-4.4.0-200703270100D
which includes the fix.
See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=164699 for more details.

Thanks,
/Patrick
