How to remove nightly build, it has broken pushes... [message #784712] Fri, 27 January 2012 17:42 Go to next message

I was trying out a new feature in a nightly build so I installed it. Now I can no longer push branches to my remote server Sad

I have tried the following:
1. Go into the market place and pick uninstall, restart eclipse. egit is still installed and functional.

2. Shut down eclipse, delete all the egit files from the file system. Start Eclipse. Egit is no longer there but still cannot install. I get an error message about there already being a newer version.

How do I wipe this egit off eclipse so I can put the regular release back on?

Hello,

I am experiencing the same problem.
I ran the uninstall process from the "Installed software" tab. It disappeared from this stab, but it is still in the Features tab.
And there isn't any Uninstall button in this one...

Instead of manually removing JARs (which may end up with a completely
broken Eclipse installation), you could try to revert these changes.
Take a look at Installation History tab on Installation Details dialog.
