Where is Eclipse's Android SDK Looking for Rev Status? [message #784026] |

In eclipse (Version: Indigo Service Release 1 Build id: 20110916-0149), when I opened the Android SDK Manager, it would say Android SDK Platform-tools was at 3, and that rev 10 was available.
BUT when I'd run the Android SDK Manager from the android-sdk directory, that would tell me Android SDK Platform-tools was at 10, so no packages need to be installed.
I checked \Platform-tools\source.properties, and it says 'Pkg.Revision=10'.
WHY the discrepancy between the eclipse-run version and the free-standing version. The 'Preferences' in eclipse points to the same directory that I'm running the free-standing from.
PS: Been screwing around for a hour, trying to get this last piece stable, having had all sorts of fun the last few days getting this environment stable and up-to-date.(See the fun over at stackoverflow, at /questions/8982682/cant-upgrade-eclipse-or-android-adk-and-cant-find-java-exe-hunh )
And while I've been typing this, I went back to check some terminology, and now both 'views' match. Both say I'm at rev 10. I hate not knowing why something got fixed.
Still would like an answer to why they were different.
Thanks

This forum is for questions related to the Java Development Tools
provided by Eclipse. Android tools are provided by Google. You need to
ask them questions about their tools.

The questions that you ask all seem related exclusively to the Android
tools. The Android SDK Manager is not an Eclipse package. It may be a
Google product. Google has chosen to develop their tools on the Eclipse
platform, However, their tools are separate and you need to go to the
Google development forums to ask questions about them. There are not
Eclipse forums that provide Android support.
