This may have been asked already but Im not sure how I would search for it.

There are eclipse install packages for C++, Java and Javascript, etc. Ive downloaded the Java and Javascript packages, the contents seem very similar (I assume the C++ package would also be similar).
If I use multiple languages do I run the individual packages from different folders? or is there some way of combining these and working with all languages from a single folder.

What Im wondering is does eclipse have anything like a language profile where you just have the one .exe and the language is chosen at start up by project type?

If I understand your question, you're asking about "merging" all the
different Eclipse flavors from the eclipse.org download page. The best
is to choose one, then use Help -> Install New Software to get the other
bits you'd like to add.

So you could say, get the Java install, and then get C++ language support using the Java install? and that would be like downloading the separate C++ package?

See my answer to "add c++ to indigo in ubuntu" nearly the same time as
your post.
