Hi,

I'm sort of new with eclipse, but nevertheless I have to get along with
Visual Editor. My problem goes as follows: The VE runs if I only create a
new Visual Class which is not derived from any swt container class. As soon
as I do so, the environment throws a nullpointerexeption (even if it
produces the right code). By the way, it also says that it's unable to open
the VE when I try to add a container class to the Visual Class from the
VE-Menue. So everything works instead of the visualization part of the VE
(menues...). Actually I'm pretty sure to have plugged in all the neccessary
libraries - so what am I supposed to do?

Thanks,
Thomas.

Which level of VE/Eclipse/GEF/EMF are you using?

If it is VE1.1, have you tried the M1 download?

Also what level of Java? It needs to be 1.4.2 or higher for SWT in the VE.
